Die Tagung „Neue Kulturgeographie in Deutschland. Themen, Methoden, Perspektiven“ war eine am Leibniz-Institut für Länderkunde vom 29.01. – 31.01.2004 mit über 150 Teilnehmern durchgeführte Veranstaltung.
Anlass für die Tagung war die drängende Frage, wie der seit einigen Jahren in den Sozial- und Geisteswissenschaften beobachtete cultural turn in der Geographie aufgenommen wurde und sollte zugleich eine erste kritische Bilanz der „Leistungsfähigkeit“ dieser Perspektive ziehen.
